This tour option is only offered on our Naturalist Photographer Guided Bear Viewing Expeditions to Hallo Bay and Moraine Creek. During these times we visit world-renowned locations within Katmai that are only accessible by float plane.
You will be led by a professional naturalist guide who specializes in photography. The focus will be on ensuring the best lighting, backgrounds, and placement to capture the highest quality photographs of bears possible.
Booking this private photo tour allows the freedom photographers need stay longer or move around at will - whatever it takes to get that million-dollar shot! This tour is geared toward experienced photographers and not a camera equipment training per se. However the guide can assist and answer questions about settings and which lenses should be used.
The price of securing our entire plane for a private tour of up to 5 guests is $6,475.00* (5 guests can’t exceed 1,200 lbs. with passengers and gear). We will provide hip waders for this tour, however all camera equipment must be brought by the guest.
* A group size of 6-7 people in your group will automatically make your trip a private tour by filling the aircraft and each seat is $1295.00.
